New Flooring & Bathroom Remodel for the Eickhoff's Home

New Flooring & Bathroom Remodel for the Eickhoff's Home Tuesday, November 27, 2018

When the hardwood floors of the Eickhoff's home was destroyed by water damage, the family decided to upgrade their bathroom along with replacing the home's flooring.

True Builders was called into the Eickhoff home when water damage created enough destruction to the hardwood floors that the entire household flooring needed to be completely removed and replaced. This incident encouraged the Eickhoffs to take the opportunity to do some upgrades to their bathroom, including new flooring and brand new shower.

Preparing the Space by Removing the Damaged Hardwood Flooring, Bathroom Flooring, & Shower

Our team came in and immediately started preparing the space for its renovations. The old, damaged flooring had to be completely pulled up and disposed of, which included moving furniture and current items out of the home.

In addition to pulling up all the hardwood flooring, our team pulled out the outdated shower and removed the flooring in the bathroom.

Updating the Master Bedroom Color & Laying the New Floor

During the remodel, the Eickhoffs chose to update the paint in their master bedroom to a modern, neutral color. Once the painting was completed, True Builders laid the new flooring throughout the home. The new flooring chosen by the family was a lighter and brighter wood grain than the previous flooring.

Bathroom Remodel That Reflects Latest Trends in the Market

One of the most commonly remodeled spaces in a home is the bathroom. And, because bathroom trends change rather quickly, bathrooms tend to be one of the trendiest areas in a home. With the extent of the damage that the Eickhoff's home suffered, they decided to take the opportunity to modernize their bathroom to reflect some of the latest trends in the market.

Changing the Atmosphere of the Bathroom With a Glass Shower Enclosure

We removed the old shower and installed a modern glass shower enclosure. The shower enclosure features white corner walls that work well with the family's existing vanity space, as well as stainless fixtures.

At the basin of the shower, a grey and white pebbled mosaic tile were laid to give the space some texture and dimension. The whole atmosphere of the bathroom has been changed by adding in an open, airy shower. The colors work well with the existing bathroom elements, as well as with the new flooring that we installed.

Tile Flooring Brings Contrast to the Modern Neutral Palette Used in the Bathroom Remodel

A new tile flooring was installed throughout the bathroom space. The tiles are simple, rectangular shapes in darker hues, which create a great contrast to the light trim and shower area, while complementing the existing bathroom counters.

The Eickhoff bathroom remodel has brought their outdated space into the now. The modern neutral palette allows the family to enjoy a space that is inviting, open and updated.
