Here, in the Central Florida area, mold can easily grow on the materials, walls, and flooring in your home from moisture caused by leaks, plumbing issues, or even flooding.

There are over 200 Species of molds that are toxigenic, Meaning they are a health risk and May be poisonous.

Damp conditions in both homes and buildings are a breeding ground for multiple types of mold. The mold itself is not harmful, but the mold spores that we breathe in and accumulate in our bodies results in many adverse health symptoms, including:

  • Headaches
  • Infections
  • Respiratory conditions

Mold Poisoning and Mold Sickness

Alternaria irritates your upper-respiratory tract, which causes allergic responses such as itchy eyes, a runny nose, and coughing.


This mold produces mycotoxins, which can lead to lung infections.


This fungus can cause symptoms resembling hay fever and asthma.


Penicillium has similar symptoms to Alternaria (allergic responses).


This mold, otherwise known as black mold, causes severe symptoms in affected individuals and can lead to mold sickness.
